Our Company was founded by Jim Gavey who is a businessman living in Fairfield, Connecticut and Quito, Ecuador. He was born and raised in the United States and is married to his high school sweetheart, Joan. They have three wonderful sons who are married to loving wives and have nine beautiful children. Joan and Jim are very proud of their entire family.

Jim founded our Company in 1973. Today our online store is named Great Gift Ideas Etc and is a growing division of that organization. We also sell our quality merchandise at great prices in a variety of branded marketplaces including Amazon, eBay, AOL and Overstock. Our objective is to bring you quality merchandise at great prices that you will be very happy with. We currently have five major product lines: Soft Alpaca Products; Fine Leather Goods; Stunning Art Works; Decorative Accessories; and Selective Novelties. All of our employees strive to provide the best possible service to our customers. From our Customer Service department to our Shipping Department, we provide the service that you deserve. We want you to know that we take pride in providing our customers outstanding customer service. We value service and are committed to providing excellence in everything we do.

We began our online career in 1999. Most of our activity back then was as a buyer. We began selling on eBay in the summer of 2002 and we opened our online web site in February 2004 and our online store in February 2005. Our products are priced at below wholesale because you are buying directly from a very low cost source. All of our Great Gift Ideas Etc products are hand made by indigenous Indians in Ecuador, where the cost of labor and materials is very low. We have an office in Quito, the capital of Ecuador, and have spent over six years developing sources of supply there. We pass on the savings directly to you.
